The security building is often the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and contractors, and its condition sets the tone for the professionalism and safety standards of the entire site. As facilities age and operational demands evolve, support infrastructure such as security buildings can fall behind the standards of the wider plant, undermining both first impressions and day-to-day functionality.
As part of Coca-Cola’s broader plant modernisation programme, TEP Africa was awarded this contract to renovate the facility’s security building, enhancing both its functionality and appearance. The objective was to transform the building into a professional, efficient, and welcoming environment for security personnel and visitors alike, while ensuring it met the same modern standards being applied across the rest of the plant. To enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of its premises, Coca-Cola partnered with TEP Africa to supply and install 12mm frameless tempered glass sliding doors with sandblasted finishes. The project was aimed at creating a modern entrance solution that combines elegance, safety, and operational efficiency, Privacy screen and a modification to their Access Ladder
Our team carried out a detailed assessment of the existing structure to identify architectural, structural, and functional improvements needed to bring the building up to standard. The works included architectural improvements, structural upgrades, and modern finishes, all carefully planned to enhance the building’s appearance and usability while reinforcing its role as a critical piece of site infrastructure. Every element of the renovation was executed in line with recognised engineering and construction quality standards.
Working within an operational plant environment required careful coordination to ensure the renovation was carried out safely and with minimal disruption to ongoing site activities and security operations. Through disciplined project management and close collaboration with the client, TEP Africa delivered the renovation efficiently, maintaining continuity of site security throughout the works.
