Project Description
As manufacturing operations continue to evolve, maintaining reliable cooling infrastructure is essential to ensuring consistent production, protecting critical equipment, and improving energy efficiency. To support the modernization of its utility systems, Nestlé engaged TEP Africa to undertake the installation of a new cooling tower and pumping system, alongside the safe decommissioning of existing equipment.
The project required careful planning and coordination to ensure the transition between the old and new systems was executed with minimal disruption to ongoing plant operations. Our team managed the installation of the new cooling tower and associated pumps, integrating the equipment seamlessly into the facility’s existing utility network while adhering to the highest engineering, quality, and safety standards.
Equally important was the systematic decommissioning of the existing cooling infrastructure. This involved the safe isolation, dismantling, and removal of ageing equipment, ensuring environmental compliance and preparing the site for the upgraded installation. Every stage of the project was carefully managed to maintain operational continuity and protect the integrity of surrounding plant systems.
Once completed, the upgraded cooling system will provide improved thermal performance, enhanced operational reliability, and greater energy efficiency, supporting Nestlé’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing and long-term operational excellence.
The project highlights TEP Africa’s capability to execute complex industrial utility upgrades, combining multidisciplinary engineering expertise with disciplined project execution to deliver infrastructure that supports the future growth and resilience of our clients’ operations.
