Olam’s NutriFoods facility runs on volume and turnover, moving large quantities of stock through its warehouse on a constant cycle. A storage system that couldn’t keep up would quickly become the weakest link in an otherwise efficient operation.
TEP Africa was engaged to design and install a shuttle racking system with 4,100 pallet positions, giving NutriFoods high-density storage paired with the fast, semi-automated retrieval that shuttle technology enables. By minimising aisle space and maximising pallet throughput, the system turned the warehouse into an asset that actively supports operational speed, rather than one that simply holds inventory in place.
